I need the windscreen removed and have booked professionals
to do it, however a side bar on
http://mkd.cc/mx3/

Meantions they break easily, is this correct or shall i take pot luck
and try it or find out first what a new windscreen costs cos if they
break like easy the one at a wreaker will do the same?

Help this project has hit enough snags and is costing money....

Matt....

I figure if the pro's break it, they will replace it. As long as you have them taking it out and putting it back in

the pros have said if it goes pop its on me..

I have got some plasma tape from work to tape up the
inside of the screen to avoid spark and weld damage,

but i do need the window suround removed to acess the
body for a possible bit of rust to be removed...

its not, where the first car was being stored was broken into
and parts aquired was nicked from my car and others along with
the shell being kicked in....

I have another shell thanks to friends and thats just going to be FWD
having spent a month in canada and the states this year along with
a few top FWD NHRA drag teams ive picked a few things up that should
make a stocker body run in the 12's and a lot of tech info on the V6
motor as well....

custom drivshafts will have to be made in the long run as well as beffing
up the transmittion, but its is happening slowly at the moment i have 2
fractured rib's which hurt like stink...

Cost wise yea it's not a cheap project, the final total will be around
10k NZ fairly cheap for a car that quick one hopes...

I am enjoying the project, its been good for me and i think when peaple
see the final effort i hope they like it to..

On a added note the windscreen is out, and quite flexable too
i might add, though the pro cut all the internal seal with a craft
knife and only cut the bottom of the screen with piano wire..

The hard plastic seal around the outside cannot be pulled off
though on the tunk lid it can be....
