Car won't start

This morning my car wouldn't start...95 mx3 RS

it was makin the typical starting noise, but wasn't turning over enough

I have nothing here (just moved here 2 weeks ago) so I can't test the battery or anything, is there another way to test the battery without using a meter? there are headlights on, and my deck will turn on.

I tried gettin error codes, the check engine light stays solid and the oil light stays on solid (dunno if that's normal). Tried resettin the codes, and doin it again, same thing.

just a few mins ago I tried again, and now it sounds like its tryin to guzzle some fuel now, like a bit of a gargle, but still won't start, any ideas that might help me on what it might be, or how I can get it goin?

thank you :)

hey custommx3, thanks for the reply

I tried TEN and GND, and it did nothing at all. The car was now idling at close to 0rpms', and would stall after a min, and now it won't start anymore.

I'm rippin my hair out

Is the large rubber ribbed intake hose free of cracks, like hairline cracking between the ribs? They can develop and cause unmetered air to enter the intake stream, causing rough idle, low idle and/or stalling. Especially when first giving it gas or as you come to a stop 'cause the engine and intake hose flexes a bit then. Worth checking to rule it out at least. Costs nuthin to ck. and a temp fix can be made with a tight wrap of duct tape around the cracked area.

could it be anything else more major? when the car does start, I can leave it idle..sometimes its at 1000rpm around (that's the usual) and sometimes it drops to like 100rpm or stall, specially if I give it some gas.

I'm gonna check the intake hose right now

I check EVERYWHERE on the intake, dont' see anything.. :(

I brought it to canadian tire on friday (canada day) because it was the ONLY PLACE OPEN I could find (not from calgary). They ran a diagnostics as well, with the same result, nothing at all, so they wouldn't fix it

goin to the mazda dealer on monday, but once again, tomorrow morning I'm gonna give it another try to get it working and check out the intake again.

Anything else it could be? and thanks everyone for the help

Try checking your ground on the battery maybe?
