Oil Pan Gasket

Does anyone know what the Oil Pan Gasket part # is.. Talked to guys at mazda and they tell me just use silicone, but it has to have some kind of gasket for it...

anyone buy one recently?

I dont think there is a gasket.. even the shop manual just says to use silicone sealant. Best of luck man.

Most of the rebuild kits come with oil pan gaskets but I never use them. I've never heard of an engine coming from the factory with one. Just get the Grey silicone, clean it up real good and you'll be fine.

I am using a felpro oil pan gasket right now. I also got a spare one if you want it.. It's made in cork

replaced mine last month actually, i used silicone, and it seems to be fine.
does it even come with a gasket? cause im sure i took some sort of silicone off when i took the old one off.

don't use cork... unless you're making a board for posting things on...

Go to autozone or the equivalent.. fork out $14 or so for a can of gasket maker called 'right stuff'... its the most expensive stuff there for a reason... at Jaguar, we made EVERY oil pan and valve cover gasket with this stuff, and I still continue to do so on Mazda's... one can will make 4-8 gaskets, depending on the size...
