hey guys, I made this little diagram based on informations I found here, probetalk and other places. I need someone to confirm that this diagram is correct and will work. I will attempt to wire it up like in the diagram so if somebody has anything to tell me, now it's the time. This diagram is for hooking up a MSD 6A with blaster 2 coil, klze disty(7 nipple) and HEI module.
Lemme know what you guys think
I really need inputs from you guys as I am an electrical dumb a-- but I think I did my homework

Someone confirm this...
Nice diagram BByBlue, very easy to read. thanks. I'll be using this if someone can confirm it. Maybe email IanL, he know MX wiring like the back of his hand. I haven't seen him on here for quite awhile, but he may answer.

I got some answers from the probers on PT...someone posted a link on my thread about his diagram for msd 6al, tip3055 transistor, blaster 2 coil. You should go and see it

oh btw. my diagram seems fine according to some people (except some little things) I will update the diagram soon though and install everything and test it

Hey Babyblue

Is this the correct set up. I found your message on Probetalk. Just want to confirm with you.

I also contact MSD they said I need a special harness (free of charge), do I need this

ya they provide harnesses but some reported problems with it and some also said they prefered not using it. if not using it you can use the diagram you posted in your last post. It seems it's the more accurate right now without using the ze disty

one last thing. I notice some of the colors are different, on this write up.

our cars are:
Red
Yellow/blue
Blue

In the diagram I posted the colors are:
Yellow/black
yellow/blue
black pink

Does this mean and it probably does
Red = Yellow/black
Yellowblue = yellow/blue
blue = black/pink
???????????????????????????????

Got my car running today, after a month of sitting. Well I have to say I notice definite improvement in throttle response... However, my Tach doesnt register any RPM after 4500.... :shock:

Solder your Tach wire resistor. Mine acted similarly no matter how well i wrapped it - until I soldered it.
