Sound deadener spray or dynamat

My new exhaust is great for power and even keeps me at still about 30-32 mpg highway milage but at highway speeds it is very loud i was wondering if anyone knows anythign about that sound deadener spray they do on cars if that would help or if i should dynamat the backend of my car? some good advice would be great

you could do dynamat or get a muffler with a silencer

silencer for the muffler, or a whole new silenced muffler might be more affordable no? anyone know?

If you don't mind the extra weight use dynomat, but it is some heavy stuff!!!
I was gonna try the spray on stuff myself, but haven't got around to it...
Try it out & let us knopw how it works....

a new muffler or whole system is something i want to avoid... currently the set up gave an extremely noticeable hp jump enough to beat my friends car when he had numerous times beaten me before the exhaust change. also the sound it gives is perfect... completely not a ricer sound even my muscle car buddies agree is sounds great so i'd rather not loose that. if it comes down to it i'll just deal with it till i get another car and make that my weekend fun / autox vehical only

Have you done a search yet. You'll see some info wrt "sound deadening" in a few of my old posts. I've used the spray (black) sound deadening that body shops use instead of primer for the inside of body panels. I've also used a product used for roofing underlay from Home Depot. Try the search and find more.

your best bet might be a muffler with a silencer dynmat wont keep the noise level down unless you cover the enitre a-- end of the car the spray on deader dosen't work that great audio wise but it should keep the exhaust note down a bit and it's cheaper for the area you want to cover

buy 2 12's put 1500 watts to them and you will have no more problems with your muffler

Timothy, you mentioned nothing about being a race car. That being the fact than I don't understand the need for sound-proofing. You shouldn't even care or hear much through your helmet anyway...right?

If you don't mind wrapping your muffler the most effective and lightest way is to get some undercarriage heat blanket. Most cars have it between the floorpan and the heat shields of the catalytic and resonator. Pull some on your next JY run, should be no charge if buying other stuff. You wrap it around and hold in place with some SS wire. If you're lucky you'll find a metallic one that'll look good and can be explained as a performance upgrade.
