i ll be driving and when i let off the gas all i here is backfiring from my muffler and well what could cause this?? cuz its freaking annoying when ur in a parking lot and u low down and u hear a car back firing :( and well could it be that i have no cat and it goes right to my muffler cause i have an APC muffler with like a 4.5 inch tip on it and well the thing is loud and im wondering if that might be the problem?? someone help me plz

Backfiring can be an indication of misadjusted initial timing.. however.. unless its way out of adjustment.. your ECU should be compensating for it. Another cause of backfiring could be a small hole in your exaust system.. this allows cold air to be sucked into your exaust system which can mix with unburned fuel and ignite if the mixture comes across a "Hot Spot" in your exaust system. Hope this helps.
