search option

being new to the site, I've tried to use the search option many times. And more often then not when you ask a question in a forum, people tell you to search it. Now, is there any way we can have a detailed search or something. ie research k31 ecu vs. k36 ecu for a ze. Most of the time the search function will pull up every thing that has those letters, relevant or not to the question. Its a pain.
