Questions prepping for BP swap

Okay, I drive a 93 MX-3 with the 1.6L SOHC, ATX. I had plans for upgrading it to a BP at the end of the year but my head gasket just blew and if I have to gut the engine that far down anyway, I am going to upgrade now. I have read some of the FAQs and have started assembling some of the parts as follows:

1.8L DOHC from a 94 Protege
BPB2 ECU from a 93 Protege
Misc braided hoses, belts, and gaskets.

I had thought about doing the MTX upgrade while I had the engine out but I just cannot afford it at the moment.

I have found very little in reference to what ECU I should be using, but the BPB2 comes from an ATX car with the same engine as what I purchased.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions before I begin?

Also, if I chose to upgrade to turbo later, is this difficult on this engine?

I think you've got everything down packed. Make sure you get oil, a new oil filter, coolanat, ect. Turboing that engine shouldn't be too hard, they make everything for it, so it will be bolt on stuff mostly.

Thanks!

I just picked up all the fluids, oil filter, and some misc stuff today and am going to start labeling and pulling things tonight. I am looking forward to it!
