I would definately say its a chick car.. falls into the same category as the Toyota Paseo. The two ladies I work with both said " That is such a cute car!!" when I drove it too work the day after I bought it. Volkswagon Bugs are chick cars too.

Is there anything wrong with owning/driving a chick car? Hell no (well as long as it isnt a Bug.. I hate those cars) In fact.. I have had 2 different ladies comment on my car (besides those I work with) that they really like it. In a way, its been somewhat of a icebreaker socially for me since I bought it.. at least in comparison to my Subaru XT or my truck. If I was interested in dating, I would think that having such a "Cute" car would only be a bonus when it comes to that sort of thing. And you cant tell me the MX-3 wasnt intended to be a chick car from the factory.. one look at those Flower Power rims says it all. This is my opinion of course and there will be plenty of people that disagree with me on this. But just like the Paseo, the advertisements I remember seeing for the MX-3 always had a female driver behind the wheel. At least in the US. Dunno about the Canadian advertisements.

When I buy a car.. I evaluate it based on how well it drives, how much power it has, and what kind of fuel economy it offers. I check maintenance records and to an extent I evaluate the previous owner to see if I can get an idea of how he/she drove the car daily. I certainly dont worry about whether or not the car is a "Chick Car" ;) And I dont care about any other perception that society imposes about the vehicle.. if I like it.. thats all that matters. The MX-3's original marketing target group (at least in the US) was definately female drivers and in my opinion that alone makes it a "Chick Car" from the factory.. But I guess that can also depend on how you define the term "Chick Car" to begin with.. ;)

I don't know if it's a chick car or not, seems like mostly guys drive them. But atleast we don't drive something that everyone else has, like a Civic, or a Neon, or something equally as common.

Its neither a guy or a chick car, its just a car. Hell, I ve seen 60 yr old women drive vipers. Everyone has their own taste.

A stock RS is a Girls car.

A modded up, BPT Powered or ZE powered MX-3 is far from a "chicks car"

Blah blah blah- I know girls can and do mod their cars, so before I catch hell about my comment I will admit to that. It is just far more rare for girls to be into cars as much as guys.

I've always said I'm a lesbian in a man's body. Can't help it; I like chicks...
Chick car? I dunno. Chicks all like it; "Cute" is def. the word, but when I think of a chick car, things like a bug, cavalier, & sunfire mostly come to mind. Mustang's getting up there too.

Lots of girls drive MX-3's here but or population is between 52,000/58,000 so its not the biggest city in the world. I dont consider the MX-3 a chick car... Id think of a Cavalier/Sunfire as a chick car just because most young girls want a cheap sporty looking car when they're in school/finished school.
