My car is terminal - Prepping the car for Organ transplants

Post by Andrew_Pakula »

Yea that means I'm parting out my car soon, everything will be for sale.

Long story short, the differential on my atx tranny is screwed up and looking at the costs involved to fix that it really isn't worth it to fix it, therefor I am just going to part out the car instead.

I am going to post a complete list of available parts soon. You can look at my website in the mean time to get an idea of what I'll be selling: http://www.zerokarma.com/mx-3/

As the vultures swoop in for the kill........LOL.
Andrew, not sure if I sent pm or email and rather than adding another to your list, I thought I'd put my dibs in on a passenger door panel if it happens to be of the black fabric persuasion (PW type). Thanks.

Is your car really in the condition it looks like in the pic? If so.. that is a nice ride to strip down and part out simply cause the trans went out on it.. you must be tired of the car or something  Wish I had the cash and the ability to buy it from you.. I would save it from its most certain demise.

The engine is just 4K shy of 300k, although it is still in fairly good working order one of the gaskets is starting to go. Also other things like the Radiator, Rear rotors, calipars front&back, catalyst converter all need to be replaced soon. It's not worth it for me to fix the tranny because there are many other things that would need to be fixed/replaced as well.

The overall body of the car is really good though, no large rust problems anywhere except for under the wheel wells and two other tiny spots. Tons of paint chips all over though, it could use a repaint.

Basically I doubt anyone is willing to pay $4000+ for the car in its current status or even if i fixed the tranny on it. I can get more money back by parting it out.

True.. or maybe you could get another MX-3 and swap parts around to make one nice ride between the 2 ;) Then sell the leftovers to the vultures LOL Best of luck.

Ya I could but too be honest, I have owned this car almost 6 years, I think it is time for me to move on to something new. If I can give back to the mx-3 community here by parting out and helping them with their rides then thats cool with me.
