Anyone know anything about this engine?

I have a 1993 GS with the 1.8L V6. However, I'm not concerned about blowing the doors off anyone, but I want to have some more power. My MX3 has it's own multimedia center built in, including a computer and the whole works. It's also Auto :(. Finally, to my question...Has anyone ever heard of this engine?
KF V6 2.0? Which I was told is 170HP, and will be a direct bolt fit to an MX3. Someone please let me know. If it's a decent engine, this is the type of power I am looking for. Thanks again!

Yah the KF-ZE. You can get it at http://www.corksport.com/main.php3?primNavIndex=0& for 900 canadian.
YOu could probably get a KL-ZE for about 100 or so more, and it would be faster, but suck a little more gas....if your gonna do a swap, do it KLZE style, it'll be worth it.

See, I wanted to go all the way with the KLZE as well. But, I can get the KF-ZE for around 700 dollars with shipping. If I can find a place in southern California or even Arizona that has a KLZE, I will just pick it up with my truck. You guys are the experts though, so I want your feedback on this one. Thanks again

This has been discussed thoroughly here. Search previous posts for the KF-ZE topic. One of our wonderful moderators, Barry Clark (custommx3, his site is http://www.custommx3.com or http://www.barrykclark.com -- he may have his kf swap documented on there) has a 92 GS that I bought in Birmingham, brought to memphis, and after being through 3 or 4 owners, found its way to his drive... He has a KF in it, but it failed within 10 minutes of startup due to faulty/worn rings, it appears... You can find the KL-ZE for just a few dollars more, and as far as I recall, the electronics needed (VAF, ECU, etc) are more compatible with your K8 than are the KF-ZE's... Plus, you're talking another 30 horsepower from the KL-ZE motor, and a good bit more torque... WELL worth the extra $$, as well as less headache finding replacement parts, since there's a bigger market for the KL-ZE, and since it has an American market brother (KL-DE, found in MX-6, 626, Probe GT, Millennia). Do a search, and you're SURE to find everything you need to know about this, and if all else fails, email Barry and he'll tell you evertything you never cared to know. :) Good luck!

I found a place in Arizona that has the KZLE. They want around 1150 with shipping. Is this a good price? They won't let me pick it up, since they have a contract with their trucking company.

That's about average. I think that's around what I payed for mine, shipped.
