To anybody with a set of headers!!!
To anybody with a set of headers!!!
I'm trying to find a bolt to plug the EGR on the OBX headers. I'm pretty sure it's an M22 fine thread. Now I've been absolutely everywhere and can't find this ultra rare bolt! Where did you guys get yours from???

I went to a local ma and pa hardware store with the egr fitting I cut off my car. It matched up with a threaded plug with an allen socket in the back of it. Put some copper rtv on it and it screwed right in. Hardest part was getting a decent turn on the allen wrench due to tight space. Seemed to be a regular pipe thread. Hope this helps

well if you don't need the egr anymore, why not cut off the end part with the threads and just weld the little hole shut. Or just fill the threaded hole with a weld?

If it's a regular pipe thread than finding a suitable plug should be fairly easy. Pipe threads only come in a certain amount of sizes. The transmission fill and drain plug use a 23mm sized head - don't recall it being a fine thread pattern though.mx3-ze wrote:I went to a local ma and pa hardware store with the egr fitting I cut off my car. take the egr pipe they give you, crush one end of it so yo ucan remove one of those threaded nut thingys. Then have the exhaust shop weld the nut thingy shut.
thats waht i did at least....that way i can remove the plug if i ever resell the headers to someone who has EGR.
