Green Cone Filter

Hi All

Had my MX3 for around 6 months and now the suns out I got round to buying it some stuff :P

Got a Green filter specifically for the v6 version - however the instructions seem to require me to drill a hole in the filter for the pressure pipe. This makes it seem like a rather shoddy universal filter rather than the purpose designed one I thought I was spending 70 quid on - is this the norm?

look forward to your comments

Not sure mate, I have a HKS Super mega flow and didnt't need to drill anything...

"UK's hottest MX-3" (or something) on cardomain.com has a green filter on his, perhaps you could try and get in touch. Red car with dragon decals, was featured in fast & modified magazine.

Cheers,
Dave

:?: Is there a specific place for the rubber pipe on the HKS then or did you just abandon it?

Well tried to fit it this pm and 'BOLLOCKS' is all I can say. Wouldnt fit on anywhere/anyhow with plenty of pushing, sweating and swearing - I may not be much of a mechanic but over the years have fiddled with enough carbs and dizzys etc to know this should be a straight forward job.

so much for a car specific cone filter... back to 'Need for Speed' on monday!

Dave - did you get the HKS in the UK? do I need any adaptors or anything?

I have just bought a Green Filter, and I also have a V-6, I'm not much of a mechanic either, so does this mean I won't be able to fit it?
