A guy I know with the Mazda MX-6 (KL-DE) does 0-1/4 in 14.3 sec. 0-60 in 6.03 sec. He has a OBX header and 2.5" system with one muffler and without a catalytic converter.
The KL-ZE must be faster than that.

umm...those numbers are BS. I've yet to see anyone on this forum post real time slips. THe only MX3-ZE timeslips I've seen were on ProbeTalk.

And I've only seen TWO that are in the 13's, and thats with heavy mods (afpr, I/H/E, t/b)

Most seem to run 14.2-14.8's.

I haven't run mine in over a year, but the best I've got is a 14.8 which is crap IMO. My goal is 13's but if not, oh well. I'm not going to piss away more money on this crap motor than I already have. I'd rather keep it reliable & BPT the 323 if I want speed

Sorry, I forgot the mention that the times were measured with a G-tech. They have tested the G-tech at a strip, and there was not much difference compared to the strip's time measurer.

Seems about right. I'd like to get a 13.99 if I ever get my engine running, but would probably need some racing slicks and some other various stuff like nitrous or interior strip to get it. Also not foing to get it in Vegas since it's a half mile up.

That's the typical assumption, but better times come from shifting before redline. You gotta stay in the powerband. 8)
