4CYL > V6 Swap!!!

ok so all i can find for cheap are 4cyl's.... yet i have a KLZE ready to be swapped to the next car! i did hella searching but for some reason couldnt find info on people who had done the swap, or how they did it. the front page had it listed, but no links or info.

has anyone done it before? and if i have all new motor mounts for the KLZE, all wiring, tranny, ecu, and everything else, wouldnt it just be plug-n-play? or are there more differences (like axle size and stuff)? thanks lemme know.. i need a car badly but i dont wanna get a 4-banger unless this swap is possible. thnx

The swap should be possible Sam.. But you will literally end up swapping over everything.. not just the engine and trans.. Master Cylinder, Suspension, god knows what else.. but it can be done and I have read that there is a guy here on the forums thats in the process of doing the swap.. (think I saw that in the Toronto Forum.. not sure)

Since you have a complete donor car and can do the work yourself.. I say go for it. :) And if you end up with a spare 4 banger 5 speed combo left over.. I am sure you can sell that off easily enough.. like to me ;) LOL Best of luck man.

You should also swap over the GS steering rack, front crossmember, tie bar and anything else thats GS only while your at it. You do have a doner car!!

heh.. thats what i was afraid of. see the thing is all the v6's here for sale cost upwards of $3000USD and i can find a perfect bodied 4cyl for under a G... so duno what to do. the swap over would probably be harder than saving up for a new one though, thats what i'm worried about. thanks for the input tho

That car looks pretty decent.. wait till the end of the auction and see if you can snatch it up in the closing seconds ;) Best to do that from a cable or faster internet connection :D

350 miles is a daytrip dude.. Rent a car in your area.. drive it down there to get the car.. drop off the rental and drive your new ride home :D Piece o Cake ;) Will take you 5 hours max to get there and 5 hours max to get back.. Get a hotel room if you arent up to the trip.. take a friend with you to abuse or entertain you ;) Or.. pay the shipping and have it delivered :D Either way.. if you score it cheap.. its worth the time to get it :)

'93 Anniversary Edition, Leather seats (as he drools all over the rich corrinthian....LOL). Oh Sam snap it up, even if it does go up to 3G's. Low mileage, looks like a fairly responsible owner - notice the medicine/doctor sticker - no kid's been blinging that around - completely stock - virgin SE - oooooohhh baby- gotta like it. Can you see yourself Sam - SE + ZE = big s--- eaten grin - ear to ear....LOL Did I mention it has leather seats.
