Squeeling when turning wheel

I replaced both belts and the belt tensioner for the power steering a couple months ago. Now i get this harsh squeeling when i turn the wheel more than half way. Belts are tight. Is it possible that the belt is too tight? When loosening the belt, do i have to break the 17mm bolt loose thats on the tnsioner first or just loosen with a 10mm socket on the adjuster?

17 first then adjust with 10.chec bearings on idler pullet they are replacable

mine makes noise too.. and that is because my powersteering pump will die soon..

Somehow the pulley was loose, really loose. Already replaced idler pulley w/bearing and new belts. Tightened it up and squeeling is gone.

Good to hear that you fixed it, but for your info, YES, you can over-tighten the belts. This will cause accelerated wear on pulley bearings, premature failure/separation of the crank pulley, and premature failure/breakage of the belts. And that's if you're lucky enough not to break your adjustment bolts on the tensioner pulleys when overtightening them. Check the online shop manual for proper deflection specifications, but a good rule of thumb is that it's tight enough when you can grab the belt at the longest span between pulleys, and turn it in the center only about 1/4 turn (90 degrees), give or take a small bit. If you can turn it completely over, then tighten it a bit more. If it doesnt turn 90 degrees, then loosen up the poor guy.
