Rim/rubber combo

Going with Hankook H405 Ventus rubber - 205/40R17 on 17x7 MR7 in chrome finish.
The 17x7 are in, but my car is in the paint booth. The tire shop says they'll work, but I can't test that until two days before Powerama, so that's not leaving me the wiggle room that I need in case of an "oops".
Does anyone KNOW that they'll work?
17x7 +40mm offset.
