did you put bigger injectors in?

if so then more than likley thats the problem, just too much fuel for a cold motor.

did you get an adjustable FPR?

what all do you have on your set up?

just need alittle more info on what you have to help ya out better. but more than likley it has to do with too much fuel. thats why you have to get a boost sensative Fuel Pressure Regulator

srry i shoulda known to say somethin...my injectors are still the stock ones ( lost the bid on my miata injectors :( ) and i have a vortech 12:1 fmu. i didnt think idling would be an issue as long as the stock injectors were still in it....

stock injectors are going to be way too small. even at stock boost. no mater the fuel pressure. did you upgrade your fuel pump.

you want to use at least the miata 1.8, or even better would be BPT injectors. what i ended up doing is swaping out the injector sockets to the SOHC ones, and running MX6 2.2L they are 310cc injectors. they are perfect. the stock miata 1.8's will work if you run your fuel pressure up all the way. but you dont want to go as far as the 460cc out of te RX7, without a afc to tune it all up.

i would play around with your idle a bit, and maybe advance the dist just a deg. or something. its just kinda gues and check.

one more thing. do you have a BOV. in alot of cases you have to return the bov out, back into the intake pipe somewhere after the MAF. other wise you will have a huge vac leak. and it wouldent idle very whell cold.

if you want some 1.8 injectors, iv got a set, they workd when i quit using them, ill give to ya for 20 bucks. i payed 100 a little ofer a year ago.

i know the stock injectors are gonna be way to small but as i said its just cuz i lost my bid on those injectors, i got the stock fuel pump right now too. but i am definately interested in gettin those 1.8 injectors from you. just pm me w/ the info i need to gettum offa ya :D it might be the bov, i had it mounted before the maf so it would blow off air before it was registered in the ecu, but i was unaware of the vacuum leak. ill try fiddling with the idle but if that doesnt work im thinkin that bov is probably it.

im running the stock ford probe BOV same one as the DSM's. but you have to run the pipe back into the intake Before the throttel body and after the MAF, or you will be loosing intake pressure at an idle. but if your running something like an HKS or some type of aftermarket one you can adjust them to not seep air at an idle. so your fine.
