OK, I'm going through new tyres in just a few months after lowering the car by 30mm.
Garages won't touch it (including mazda) coz its been lowered, they say it needs a "specialist" to do a wheel alignment, but Ive also heard of people using camber bolts.(wotever they are??!)
If anyone overcame this problem let me know who you took it to or how you did it.

no need for camberbolts on just 30mm...
Everyone who can do 4-wheel (or front wheel) alignment can get it to correct specs without any trouble.

Take it to Mazda, I dont think they can refuse to do it.
I got mine done at the local Nissan dealership (as I work parttime there).

Not to worry. Similar situation to some degree here also. As soon as they've been told that it's been lowered, they go into some catatonic state, which I percieve as their reluctance to tackle a more demanding task. Search around, ask owners of other lowered cars, word of mouth is pretty powerfull thing when it comes to either good or poor quality workmanship.
By the sounds of it, the amount lowered (30mm) should be close to within the limits of adjustability of the original equipment. That said, if it's already been on a hoist and that that was the verdict, then probably the cambolt route would be your next inexpensive option. One cam bolt per wheel should be sufficient for your amount of lowering. A cambolt is simply a bolt with an additional washer type sleeve on it. This sleeve has a lobe on it which is used to adjust your strut (in or out) to a small degree to correct a camber issue. There are a couple of different cambolt designs out there. Find a GOOD quality alignment shop, which may be a little more expensive to use, but they will have the better laser aligning equipment, will not be reluctant to address a lowered car and quite probably have caber adjusting bolts in stock. We use 12mm camber adjusting bolts BTW. Hope this helps, cheers.

I know, they're unwilling to think let alone work "outside the box". They sit pretty confident behind the quote "liability aspects" unquote. I'm sure there's got to be a few fine specialty shops in and around Liverpool. Good luck.

Just came across this post out of curiosity...

I have a 40mm lowered MX3 and have had four wheel alignment done by 'Jet Tyres' In Liverpool.

Instead of complaining they were pretty interested in the car so I recommend them!

If you know Wavertree/Old swan area, its just off Tunnel Road.

if ever see a red mx with a few mods round toxteth area give us a wave!

i've seen the odd camber kit bein sold on ebay for cheap. Could always try that??
