My car is getting painted Wednesday morning with the Drift front on it. IT's been there two weeks now. I've tried posting pics but it doesnit work for me. Wyldside will have to show me some time (hint) and come out. Hope to have final pics soon. :D

Well you need to have a place to host the files in order to post them on this forum. A Web Server in other words. Here are some of the car pics you sent me before.

It's going to look pretty awesome when it's done. You want to get the side skirts and rear eventually just to even things out. It may look a little out of proportion with just the front but it's not biggy. I've started on making a frame and structure for my new front bumper. I was trying to go for a vader style but things were not working how I wanted them to and it's starting to look more like a Skyline front end. Hopefully I can start some fiberglassing this coming weekend.

It seems like they are taking their sweet a@# time, I'm going in today to see the spray job. Shoud be on the road tomorrow or Wednesday. I've been chatting up a guy in Hamilton, he says the same thing about the kit, it is probably the worst fitting kit ever so extra time is required to install it. I'm going to contact the Manufacturer of it and see what they can do...probably nothing!

Let them take their time. Don't want to rush a paintjob. Also, if it is painted tomorrow (tue), you definitely do not want to drive the car the next day. You paint still be wet and soft thus susceptible to damage easily. Let it sit for a few days and dry out properly.

I agree with Taras. Don't rush the body shop, let them do the paint job and let it dry properly. You don't want them to do a half a$$ job on the car.

Saw the car outside yesterday in the sun......OH SNAP! I've never seen my ride look better. It will be pieced together today I hope. Should get some pics of it on the site soon. Hopefully the weather is nice for our first meet on Saturday.

Looking pretty good so far. :2thumbsup: If you don't mind my asking, what body shop are you getting the install done at? If the work is good there, I may consider having mine done there too when/if I get a front for mine. For that matter, for any of you in or around Calgary who has had body kits installed on their cars, where did you take them to have your installs done?

I took my car to Airdrie Auto Body. They do an excellent job but because they don't do a lot of custom work, it takes time. National Collision will do a complete body kit prep/paint/install between 1500-1800 bucks. I'm getting the rest of my kit done from a friend at California Customs in Calgary.

I picked up the car. Absolutely beautiful. Already checked out by two RC's and a Bylaw guy at Timmy Ho's. Really have to watch bumps and slopes with this kit. I can't imagine how guys lower their rides. The front would only be 1.5 inches off the ground. I'll try and get some pictures up shortly.
