Dropzone Coilovers

has any1 used these coilovers???

They suck, stay clear.

Also, the search button second to from the left under the Mx-3 logo, is very nice.

You can fin _a lot_ of info on this site.

Do a search for Dropzone and you will get lots of info about how bad these are.

okay! i did a further search and found out that those dropzone coilovers are too hard or sth!!

i just want to lower my car a bit as i got 17s and it looks dumb!

any ideas for something cheap

and if its in the UK that would be great

I can recommend Koni struts with H&R springs.
You could also get Eibach springs, as they lower a bit less, and would work somewhat with your stock struts.

But, if you can afford it, get new struts!
You wont regret it

what about just changing the springs??? how would that turn??

i just want it a bit lowered? so would that get me a bit of lowering to look good with the 17s

but i dont want a really crappy ride
i dont mind it 2 be a bit hard

what do u guys think??

your going to still need a good quality spring imo. i made the mistake of going the cheap route and bought the dropzone lowering springs, not the coil overs. the ride really didn't improve, those springs are way too damn soft. and it lowered my car about 1.5-2 inches in the back, but almost non in the rear. I've tried all kinds of s--- to get those springs to settle but my car sits like a god damn meat head hotrod right now. die dropzone die

so dropzone are hated by the mx-3ers!!!

i found H&Rs good price here but i hope they wont' rape me with the installation price!! the uk is seriously expencive!!!

so am just gonna get H&R springs

should lower it right??

putting struts in a MX3 is a joke... as long as you have a spring compressor. I've been happy with my Suspension Techniques springs, they dropped the car almost 2 inches, and the ride isn't horrible (although its definitely rougher than stock).

Yeah, it`s real easy, do it yourself, and save a bunch of cash

1. loosen lug-nuts.
2. jack the car, and put something underneath to support it.
3. remove the 2 clips (brakehose & ABS wire)
4. remove the 4 (8) nuts on the struttower (15mm wrench)
5. remove the 2 bolts on the strutbody (2 17mm wrenches)

Voila everything is loose. Now just compress the spring with a spring compressor, and loosen the top nut, uncompress, compress the new spring, replace strut bearing (cheap, so it`s definetely worth it).
Install the new spring, and do everything in reverse.

6. get it aligned properly

7. Enjoy your new sportier car
