As far as I know Tom Motorsport doesn't make a coilover kit for our cars...

hey this post peaked my curiousity. i looked on tommotorsport and found that they have a set of coil overs for the mx5 (no help). However, they have a set of coilovers for the 95-00 Ford Escort. I have just barely got into the posts here that cover a strut swap for the zx2, but I'm wondering if these will work. Would one need to perform the suspension swap to use these springs or would they fit on a stock strut? Sorry to thread jack, but I want coilovers from a respectable company at a kick a-- price and don't want to see this thread die so quickly.

Sorry for the delay. Here's the link.
http://www.tommotorsport.com/shop/?page ... c2b272fe79 and again I know nothing about the zx2 strut swap or if these will fit a stock strut so any help would be great. I have seen a lot of tommotorsport stuff and will testify that they are a good quality.

No-- thats being cheap and taking the cheap-azz way out.
Poor people can still save their money and get the same parts others can. It just takes some us longer than others!

Ok. Besides the cheapazz factor, will the coilovers in question be compatable with our cars? That was the origional purpose of this thread, and since coil overs are readily available for these other cars, a "non cheapazz" company will probably sell the other cars coil overs for a little less. So, the protege or escort coil overs... will they work with a stock strut? If not, a set of escort coil overs with those stock tokico zx2 struts might be my replacement for stock blown struts with DropZone springs... now those springs are guarenteed cheapazz lol.
Personally I won't be buying the tommotorsport coil overs either, cause I have cheap springs and they suck, but if anyone else buys them more power to them, it's their car.
