Here are the struts & springs that I used on my 93 MX-3 GS. It took about 2 hours to install these. I purchased these from Ebay Seller suspenmax. He is really great to deal with as I have purchased springs from him before. He has excellent products.

The struts are for a 90-94 Mazda Protege/323 & the springs are for a 98-02 Ford Escort ZX2 1.80" DROP
These are not the actual photos but the ones he used in his auction.

Here is a couple pics of my car before lowering, 1 clean, 1 dirty(sorry it's dirty, but I work in a sloppy hole)

Here is my car after lowering (sorry still dirty) back looks like it didn't drop much, but my rear struts were blown.

Here is one of the strut assembly installed

The control of this car is amazing, the ride is stiff but not bouncy, handling is outrageous, this car is even more fun to drive now. The springs dropped the car about 1.5 inches. Not too low but very comfortable.

The total cost for the struts & springs shipped to my door was about $270. You can use all the same bump stops & top strut mounts that are on our car. This way instead of buying all the extra stuff for the ZX-2 Tociko struts these are a direct bolt in.

If you haven't noticed there is a bigger market of suspension products for the protege than there is for our MX-3. Tein even makes lowering springs for the protege if you are really looking for performance.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask...

or I can be found on MSN messenger yttaf1@hotmail.com always glad to help anyone out.[/img]

I talked to Patrick at SuspensionMax & they are gonna start listing these as auctions for the mx-3. :2thumbsup: Both struts & springs. :froggie_red: They make their own products so it keeps the cost down. If you have any questions please ask, as were trying to get some more support for our cars.

Well that's what i'm trying to do. I've done it & now i'm hoping others will see how they work & try them out. Remember these are a direct bolt on. You do not have to drill out for the larger bearing.

You won't be dissapointed.

All 4 struts cost $139.95 +$29.95 shipping. Not a bad price at all if I must say so.....

I called my local parts store & for just OEM style struts they wanted $50 a piece. So there is a savings here.

I can't answer that considering I have never used KYB GR-2 struts. I know the price is a little nicer than the KYB's.

I'll tell you what, here is the number for SuspensionMax they can answer any questions that you might have.

(714-632-7024) Ask for Patrick & let him know Cory sent you.

off topic, what kinda paint did you use to paint your wiper arms the body color?

I dunno about the wheel weights, they work & track just fine. These were the rims & tires I took off my parts car since it had brand new tires on it I put them on my car.

Gonna be getting new rims here shortly anyways, but thanx for the info. I never even noticed?

another good ? The wiper arms are another part I took off my parts car.

I believe he used the spray can touch up paint for GM vehicles. Can't remember the color, but Wal-mart has it in the touch up paint section. It is very similar to our color.
