I was getting Code 4 ('NE1' camshaft/crankshaft position ) and I replaced the cap and rotor on the distributor and it went away. It has been a few days now and the code has returned. What are all the possible causes of this code?

Did you reset the ecu?? I think if you dont reset it the code will keep comming up!!

I thought the crank shaft pos sensor was on the other side of the block, right where the oil dipstick tube goes in next to teh oil pan.
hmmm
# 02 'NE2' crankshaft position sensor
# 03 'G' camshaft position sensor
# 04 'NE1' camshaft/crankshaft position
i dont know what ne1 and ne2 means..or G...
