I've owned my car since March, 2003. Some random jack off wasn't looking in his rear view mirror while plowing a gas station parking lot. He backed into my baby :/

ouch..looks fixable. Is his insurance gonna cover it or was it a hit and run?

Absolutely, they are probably going to total it. I took it to Grappone Collision Center (dealership that does mazda's among other makes) and they est. around $2800 worth of damage. Granted it was a dealership.. If all works out, they'll total it, I'll buy it back for like, 500 bucks, then go out to the junk yard and find some decent body parts off some blk mx-3's and pocket $1500 :p Or does anyone have any other suggestions? :/

that's what I said, but it's the door, the bumper, the fender, the hood, etc. I have no clue, but the sheet they gave me racks right the hell up. Should I post it?

Where did you hide the plow drivers body? Youll want to make sure that you didnt leave any evidence behind that can trace back to you.

Its nice knowing a trade :) Just thank god that your shop is charging $40 an hour instead of the rate that mine is!

ya body shops make good money doing work for insurance companies. Money making depends on area though, Ive got diploma in auto body, but theres not much work in my area, too many shops, competition, not many people take car to repair, they just get check and drive off, they live with damaged cars. It doesnt bother them if their car is screwed up. if you could get cheap parts, estimate would be cheaper, they charge you full price at the dealer. it would be much cheaper at junk yard. Id keep car

well i figured it'd be a good idea to go to the most expensive place for my dealership, coz I figured they'd total it either way. But.. the guy was like, so you want to get it fixed there? So it doesn't look like they're going to total it, even though the car's worth 3.5k, and the est. was 2.8k heh. Whatever, atleast I'll have my car in the condition I had it in before. Also, I need to get a check up from a mechanic or something, because it's sounding like my timing belt is loose, and I just had it replaced 10k miles ago.
