My interest is peaked. Was planning on pulling up old carpet to complete sound proofing job.....might as well put down new carpet in the process. Looks like a good deal. Wonder if anyone has tried this product yet.

Looking forward to hear your impressions, my carpet isnt really worn but i think its a bit sunfaded so i have thought about changing it allso...

And throwing down a thin layer of soundproofing at the same time would defenetly be a good idea :D

Haven't done the math but $277 CDN and $162 US must be pretty close.
Neutral or SOHC - Know anyone who has done this yet or knows if there's a quality difference between both venders. I'm leaning toward the CDN vender....no duty fees & cheaper delivery cost.

Sorry, haven't ordered carpet from either of these vendors so don't know the eyeball dif, if any, between the two. The manufacturing info appears identical for the actual carpet material with differences in the backing available...

1A AUTO Says: "Made in nylon cutpile. Nylon cut pile is constructed from 100% first quality Dupont Antron nylon BCF yarn. It is tufted on a 1/8 gauge machine with 14 ounces of yarn per square yard. This carpet is dyed in a continuous range operation with specific chemicals added to reduce fading. It is also tested for ozone humidity fading & lightfastness. Die cut 36 oz Jute attached to the back"

PSITuning says: It is tufted on a 1/8 gauge machine with 14 ounces of yarn per square yard. This carpet is dyed in a continuous range operation with specific chemicals added to reduce fading. It is also tested for ozone humidity fading & lightfastness. It is available in 80" widths & can be heavy rubber latex or polyethylene backed.

PSI doesn't seem to mention whether the driver heel pad or trunk piece is included. 1A says they include both. Price difference is significant @>100.00 USD but I could see where getting the 1A AUTO product into Canada could eat up the savings between higher ship & duty costs.

Thanks for all that guys. Looks like I'll be leaning toward 1A now. Couldn't determine from website where 1A is located. Sounds like someone (neutral) is quite conversant in the carpet industry....LOL.
Great info guys, thanks.!

:2thumbsup:

1A AUTO is in Massachusetts. Their site never really says so but a newspaper consumer guide article makes mention of it.
