what kind of shape are your tires in? Uneven wear on your tires will balance fine but when you drive a certain speed will cause the car to bounce. I had the same problem with my work van, had the tires replaced and the problem went away

I would have said wheel bearings but it wouldnt shake violently all of a sudden, he'd have a warning first

The allignment has just been done and the wheels and tyres are brand new plus iv just replaced a ball joint,im thinkin maybe its a wheel bearing although its not really wining plus theres a nasty creaking noise at slow speeds, thinkin maybe its the steering rack, problem is mx3's are pretty rare in the uk so garages dont have a lot of experience with them and mazda dealers cost a bomb,it is a beautiful car tho and maybe worth spending the exra money

Let me get this right. It makes a loud creaking noise when you turn the wheel and theres a nasty creaking noise at slow speeds.
And you're racing up to 80 mph.
So far so good, but where you racing?

hmm my car starts to shake at around 90 mph , and my problem is the rear strut..speciall when it rains (water goes inside) Now um from what I have experienced in other cars (older) when the wheel "Cracks" while turning and it shakes at high speeds..its the ball join and or bearing. I know because my 92 ford escort gt had the sam thing....Just went and got a bearing and joint job (30 dlls across the boder) and it fixed it right up. Oh and um..dont drive at 80 mph in this conition.I had a maxima tha had a bearing seize at 50 mph and it was NOT pretty at all..its like slamming on the brake but for only that tire..acr swirves to the right and you end up in the median or even worse...rolled over.

Ok, I found the answer to my problem

And i know it IS this.. I went to go buy new rear tires and what do ya know....my rear aligment is off, so thats why it shakes I was about to die i guess...since the rear tire was all rimmed from the edge trough the inside.

so yeah tomorrow first thing in the morning I go for my 4 wheel aligment and my other rear tire (they only had one available for some odd reason) So yea dude..i think its an alignment issue..most likely.

I get a slight vibe at around 70mph, but as soon as I get past it it goes smooth as glass right through 100mph. probably a slight balancing issue, but meh, not much.
