rubbing noise from passengers side

so i am hearing a rubbing sound from the pass side front wheel i had the wheel bearing and ball joint on the drivers side changed in the spring because of the same sound. Now i just had the pass side axle changed (ripped cv boot) and ball joint replaced, I told them the bearing may need to be changed but they said no.
So i bring in the car again and now they tell me they need to replace the wheel bearing, well duh, I told you that last time !
But they also say i need to replace the drivers side axle because the sound is tansfering to/from there, does this sound plausible or just a random make money thing? Sould I change the drivers axle since they have the car up there to mater the other new one they put in?
