i've noticed several mx-3's with red corner markers (like the one at the top of this page) i was wondering whether those were stock on some mx-3's or if they came from somewhere else or what? i'd love to have a pair since i think they'd look nicer for me then clears.

Those are the factory stock orange/amber turn signals for MX-3's sold in North America. Did you get your MX-3 with clears already on?
I've installed the clears lol, so PM if you want my factory amber set.

the ones on the car at the top of the page are orange/amber like all stock ones.... the only way you could make them red is by using a red translucent paint..

oh, they look red, guess it's just the picture. i could've sworn i'd seen others with red markers, but maybe they tinted the lenses. do you think it'd work to paint the red over the orange or would it glow some funky color instead? (i've never tried using that type of paint)

Many people have used red transluscent paint on their tails, and it works fine. Since the only part of the turn signal that is amber is the plastic sense itself, (which you would be painting), there's no reason the color should come out funky - I'd say just use a clear bulb behind it.
