Leaving the MX-3 behind

Well...after about 2 years of owning the MX-3, I've decided it's time to move on to a newer car.
I'm picking mine up from the dealer on Monday.
The MX-3 has been fun. This UBB has been great reading as well. Best of luck to everyone.

How much do they run you brand new, if you don't mind me asking?

its funny how alot of people on this board could afford a brand new car with the money they have invested in their mx. I am one of these people... But honestly.. where would be the fun in it?

Don't mind at all. All priced out with taxes and stuff here in NY it was about $18k, then I took the $1k the dealer offered for my MX-3. I thought I made out like a bandit with the $1k offer on the MX, since I've got leaking valve cover gaskets, as well as a messed up ball joint on the left front.
I didn't get any of those stupid options that they are offering...like the neon lights in the cabin. I did upgrade the security system, get the side impact air bags, and had them install fog lights.
At the price they're offering the tCs at right now...I really can't find a better alternative. Power isn't bad for a car at this price point and size.

The only car that I would trade my MX-3 for (at the current time anyway) is a Toyota MR2. The Scion is a great deal, though! I've heard lots of good stuff about them, although you don't really see any around.

I've been looking into that car also, the sunroof in that car looks sweet. And all the options you can do on the website are interesting, minus the neon crap. Plus they will be releasing a supercharger from factory that will bring it up to 200hp.
But... because I am in Canada I can't even test drive one because Toyota haven't brought the scion's over yet! When I asked about it, they said atleast a couple years till it makes it over. You would think they would hurry up to get a sporty car over here seeing they are getting rid of the Celica. Unless you have a family you need to bring around toyota doesn't really have any interesting cars left.
Btw, why are the TC's so nice looking while the other two scion's are the ugliest things i've ever seen??
