what's the temp(and how long) i should cook my headlight in the oven in order to be able to pry off the clear plastic housing????

thanks, so what type of sealant do you use to put em back together?

I used clear permatex silicone on my civic projectors and it woprked fine..not sure on these stock headlights? they appear to use some grey silicone sealant.

You can just reuse stock sealant if you wish. Or go to a Nissan dealership and ask them about Nissan Taillight sealant. It's heat resistant and made from proper Butyl Rubber compound. I have a Nissan Part# somewhere if you wish.

I polished the crap out of the outside of my lights, then i decided to do the inside using the oven method. Didnt make a very noticable difference, i'd say 99% of the yellowness was taken care of by doing the outside of them. It was a real PITA to do, so i wouldnt recommend doing it. I just used black silicone to reseal them.

mxmaz, i concur... there was a little bit of junk in my headlight, but not enough to make it worth the time... i havent put 'em back together yet-- i'm dreading that... might try that "special edition" or "limited" look posted in the FAQ section

You know guys you do not have to take your headlights apart to clean inside. You just use a solution of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol. Well, first water a drop of mild soap, then 4:1 water/alcohol. Rinse and air dry.

Tara, I never really thought about that... alittle bit of doluted alochol probably would work perfect..... i might just try that tomorrow
