hey all
Well i chopped and chopped and i got the civic lights on. Siliconed them. My next step is to wire them, buti have no clue about the electrical., maybe u can really help me out on that.
I read hook positive to positive, and neg to neg, but there is the angel eye which i am not sure where to hook up.
I can assume that the regular light that i have in my MX basically connects to the new one that i got and i switch bulbs. The other is for the side turn. But How do I hook up the angel eyes high beam? or is it the low beam?
Plus i read on the board different ways the lights should be, high on the inside, low on the inside it got me all confused, which is the correct way?.
Oh and the Civic install FAQ rocks.

Re: WIRING Civic Projectors
wouldn't your angel eyes be hooked up to your driving lights? cause they are usually on when the headlights are off.. at least that seems to make sense

Re: WIRING Civic Projectors
Well i figured it out and at least it works.
In case anyone cares here is a simple breakdown on the wiring in lamers terms.
The turn signal right now doesnt work, its partially covered by fender anyways.
The next lights is the running light, the one next to it is the High Beam With the halo around it, and finally the one with the built in bulb is a running light as well.
T
A hint to all, extend your wires!. Grab a speaker wire or another cable and extend all your wires by at least 5" to make your life easier. Only use electrical tape on extension for final attachment use those electrical yellow caps, connectors, whatever you call them.
This will make the Angel eye turn on, the orange bulb turn on, and the far opposite light turn on, when u have ure lights on. When you switch your high beams on, all lights will turn off, and the big fat bulb in the angel eye will turn on.
So:
When you cut the MX harness you will have 3 cables. A Black , A red/green(running light), and a red/white (high beam).
When u cut the Civic harness supplied you will have only 2 cables. These will connect as follows. Civic Blue connects to MX red/green, and Black connects to black.
So what i did, was take all the Black wires from civic and connect to the single Black on the MX harness. (i think there was 5 in total)
Then take the Red long wire from the angel eyes, and all red cables and connect them to the single Red/green cable from the MX harness.
And finally the High beam, take the civic Blue cable and connect it to the Red/White on the MX harness. Only 2 thats right.
Hope this helps, its a mess!, but it works.

Re: WIRING Civic Projectors
Marc, at least you've read the previous posts on the issue. To be honest it is hard to determine what light cluster on those Civic lights is high beam and what is the low beam. No one ever posted pitures of beam patterns for each. Legally, in North America and Europe, high beam must be on the inside of the headlight, closer to the centre of the car and the low beam on the outside. But, the Civic lights are aftermarket lights that may not necessarily be made to DOT standards, so it's all a good guess. Post beam patterns if you can to better determine what is what. To get some ideas on wiring see here:Originally posted by marsinner:

You will also have to jump R(S) and W/R wires on the E1-01 combination switch connector. (thanks to Eugene on this one) You will need this to have low beam stay on lit when you switch to a high beam. A true quad lamp setting. You must run relayed harness in this case.
Good luck.
Re: WIRING Civic Projectors
Did you get the headlights with 4 lamps in each? The turn signal right now doesnt work, its partially covered by fender anyways.
Have you got any pics of them installed cause I didn't think they'd fit. Everyone else seems to have headlights with only 3 lamps.
