Turn signals have a mind of their own

I have a friend with a 93 gs and whenever she turns the wheel left or right the turn signal for whatever direction you turn comes on. You dont have to turn it very much to get it to happen but it always happens. I took the cover off to try and see what is going on under there and it makes very little sense why its happening. Anyone else ever have this problem?

i had a 71 vw super beetle that whenever i turned the wheel the horn would go off...

it was possessed!!! but nah it's prolly just a caught connection somewhere inside. just take the wheel apart and have a look

I would suspect it is "catching" when the wheel turns and should not be doing anything to the signal under normal operational conditions. But in your case, the mechanism that "auto-offs" the signal after completeing the turn decided to have its own opposite day/week/year/eternity

. That would be my best guess. Good Luck.

Yah, just take ur wheel apart. I figured out how the signal lights turn on and off, its a little mechanisme. Check it out, its probably catching or something.
