Well, Finally, I have finished my retrofit. It's been a little over a year now and the project started to frustrate me quite a bit. Below are the picture that are not of the best quality but will give the idea. Just a little run-down on what's been used. Stock headlights. Front lens sanded and polished clear. OEM Hella Bi-Xenon projectors that are used in Audi A6, MB ML 430 and others. Hella H9 90mm high beam unit. Custom made LED marker light. Lot's of work. Beam patterns to follow when I aim them perfectly and hook up my high beams and a marker light.

wow man, truly amazing work. I would ask for a write up, but it would probably be really long. Your set up is definitely bad azz and better than the civic projectors, props.Peace

Don't forget the project I was working on too. Same Hella Bi-xenon projectors, with Hella FF50 driving light modules for high beams.

low beam pattern, got some rotational alignment issues to work out for the driver side. the kick really isn't fuzzy like the pic shows, it's just the bumpy glossy garage door.

I knew you are gonna post. Two related and similar projects utilizing the same Hella Bi-Xenon projector. Now I can amend the title.

The best part is that they are proper HID lights with 4100K colour temperature Philips bulbs that all other OEM uses. Produces a nice wide, evenly distributed beam that is very bright and crisp white. Just look at Eugene's pictures. Eugene can tell you about his experiences with Bi-Xenon function as mine is not hooked up yet....

Professional quality JDM, hopefully my lights will turn out even half that good after I fork over the money to buy the projectors (some day....).Can I ask what material you used to modify the housing to cover the the lense back of the projector unit (and how you got it so perfectly round)?
Does that signal only have one led in the back center, or are the sidewalls also covered with led units? As you can see I'm trying to gather ideas and techniques

.

May be picture is better. I used a top part of a Kool-Aid container. This way it became weather sealed and I can unscrew the white lid and access the capsule and a plug if I need. The reason for my choice was that it had a deep lid, so when unscrewed it exposed a lot, thus I do not need to reach inside, if that explains it. Had to modify the adjustment bracket to make room for the container.

Again, I'll post a picture so it's more visual. It's one high intensity 1W LED. I later put a round circle of aluminum tape over that yellow central dot, so it's more uniform and does not have a defined hot-spot. Also had to build decent size heatsinks for it. Now to hook it up I need to build current limiting circuit. In one word, what a pita.

So Taras you are making this for the whole club right???

j/k Nice work hope to see em soon.
Also i guess maybe a stupid question, but Why would you get a seperate High Beam Unit? Does the Bi-Xenon do both High and Low beam? That is the only thing i don't get. Why does everyone have a High Beam unit too when the Hella Bi-Xenon does both? Thanx.
