it seems either my mind is playing tricks on me or i keep readin' that the 'GS' edition came w/ the OEM spoiler standard INSTEAD of the hatch garnish. However, mine's a GS, and since i bought it from some one in June, it's had the hatch garnish. (scratching my head) what's goin on here..........?

its true what you said rs gets the garnish gs gets the spoiler but your leaving out one important factor, someone might have installed the garnish.

grrrrrrrrrrr...y would some one do that?.... wait, does the GS have power windows and power locks standard too? cuz i dont have either of them...but i swear i have a GS... have the emblem stickers on the sides and i have the goods-a v6 under the hood...

I thought all the older GS mx-3s had the power package and the ground effects package... weird...
It might have been totally gutted and swapped with RS parts.

Well, you have the RS special spoiler, i wanna call it a mazdaspeed spoiler, but i dont know, but that was only an option on RS's. My friend has a 93 RS and it has the GS spoiler ...

Plain and simple:
If you have a 1.8L V6, you have a GS
if you have the SOHC 1.6l i4, you have an RS

Either you got some freak GS, the previous owner changed a few things or the original owner wanted the v6 but cheeped out on everything else, also i belive the GS packages varied from country to country, but i dont think the RS hatch garnish is one of them

Nallboy, the side skirts (here in canada i think anyway) were a GS option, it wasn't part of the package

I have a 95 RS but i have a GS spoiler, why? cause i took it off a GS, rear hatch and all. so no leaks and put it on my RS
also took the power windows, front lip etc
also took miata 15in. wheels

hmmmm.... i'm gonna have to do some research here.... if i have the VIN# and i call up a Mazda dealer, would they be able to look at their records and tell me what happened? things just don't add up...i know i have a gs, yet no power windows, no power locks, no spoiler, no cruise control, no power seats... and i when i took off the interior door panels a couple months ago, i noticed no indication of power door locks/power window assemblies being removed... befuddlement... oh yea, i went to the downloads section, yet saw no link for 1992 brochures.... help anyone?
