hey there, I am looking for a speed sensor out there just incase that is what is need on my car... I have the perpetual blinking light thing... the trans was rebuilt last year. I talked to the mazda dude and he said that the ecu kicks the trans off and makes it shift hydrolicly when there is a problem.

I cant get into 4th....

I CANT FIND WHERE TO BUY THE SENSOR... is mazda the oly one who sells them????

Sounds like your tranny is dying again. I've seen the same symptoms with my MX-3's, and read about it from others. But... just maybe it really is the VSS. You can get it from Mazda, or probably a junk yard, but you should test it before you buy a new one. They are not cheap, and it usually is not the problem.

I can't recall the test procedure at the moment, but if you need it I will look it up.
