I will be in vancouver for the long weekend and would like to pick up a stock cd player for my se. Does anyone one know of any junkyards i could try or does anyone one know of any junk yards that actually have one?

NOt sure how current the phone numbers are, so may be check yellowpages online.

The other thing is, a simple search on www.car-part.com yielded a few dozen results. Three of them was in Canada, the closest one to you was in Manitoba. Check that too.

a-scott(ralphs), probably has one. their prices aren't the cheapest but they have like 7 or 8 mx-3's in their yard. I would check there first. they are located at scott road and 104th ave in Surrey.

You could also try A-Best @ 604-580-3303, they'll usually have a few MX-3s in their yard. They're a few blocks down the street from A-Scott(Ralph's).

Kev, you think we should make a sticky of Vancouver junkyard listings? I know that people ask for the info once in a while.

I think we should try to involve one of the wreckers in our club somehow. we always need a part or clip or panel to try something new on, maybe if we offered to advertise for someone at our meets, they would cut us a deal on parts=), Just something to ponder....

Thanks alot for the info. I have sent my stock deck of for an estimate. i should know very soon how much repair will be. if its too high I will get one from a junk yard when I am in van.

Yeah, I'll put something up in the morning when I'm more awake.

Ok I got an estimate for $400 to fix my cd player. I will try these junk yards.

Holy crap, that's a lot to fix a stock CD player.

Yes it is and only one of those junk yards had the double din and wanted $225 for it and was rude when I said that was pricy. I guess I will very reluctantly buy an after market deck
