I'm in Vancouver and i've got a '93 V6 Precidia with only 82,000 kms on it. But my "check engine" light comes on now and i don't know why. My car runs just fine except for when i start the ignition - takes 2 tries. I've replaced the sparkplugs already. Anyone know what conditions bring on the "check engine" light? Bringing the car into the Mazda dealership will cost me an arm and a leg just to diagnose it, so just wondering if anyone could shed some light on my problem. Thanks.

Check the online Manual for information on how to read engine error codes. You the forum's search function to look for diagnostic code information. Once you have the failure code information, we'll be able to help you better.

hmm..possible thoughts...starter motor, fuel injectors. Either one could mean startup problems. also, check your battery's voltage.

Does the CEL only come on after u drive awhile?
Could be ur 02 Sensors since its replaced around 90k ...have u replaced them b4?
