I have to do an oil change soon... I'm gonna do it myself... does anyone know why FRAM states that I have to use a PH6607... when I distinctly remember last time that I had to get a bigger one. That PH6607 is really small...
What do you use for an 1996 RS?

I'm still getting my crash course in Mazda engines so I don't really know yet about the oil filters.
You could try going to Lordco with year, make, model, and engine # to get the exact info. I guess that's the best advice I can give for now.

I suggest you get them filters from mazda themselves...apparently the ones they provide are much better than any other brand you can get at crappy tire...

Yeah, get the Mazda oil filters. We saw a cut Fram oil filter and there was pretty much nothing in it. There was at least double the amount of filters in the Mazda one.

I paid $7 from the dealer for one - it's worth it.
