C'mon guys; we are in the midst of the season. I thought this board would be flooded with times by now. What's goin on? I don't want this to turn into a "well when i get this or do that i'll race" thread, i just want to know whats up.

I went on the track for the first time of my life a week ago...I did a 14.8 on 4 runs... I tought I would be good for 14.5 or around that...I found out that vris #2 wasn't working at the time i did my time and I had some MAJOR traction issues..I guess I'll have to work on my driving skills and make sure that #2 vris vaccum is plugged :D

I plan on going in the next couple of weeks. I need to work on my launching, last time I had major traction problems. I thought I was a pretty good driver but the track is a whole different ball game!

I had major launching problems. I would just spin the tires in 1st and 2nd, finally getting traction in 3rd and up (on street tires). My best was a 14.9 at 97mph. I even missed a 3rd gear shift on that run. The cars faster than that, I just can't launch for $hit.

I'm not going back to the track for a while untill I can afford some slicks. In the mean time, I'll practice launching.

Made it to the track last night, best time was a 9.7 with a 1.2 reaction. I put an upper strut brace on and it helps with the wheel hop but not with traction. I'm still spinning through first with a little wheel hop. Got my reaction down to a .71 by the end of the night. All in all it was fun. I plan on getting headers and seeing if that will pick my traps up a mph or two. I'm running consistent 72.xx mph. Is anyone else running? BTW, best 60' was 2.23.
