Firs nite at the track

Went to the track last night for the first time and it was ugly. I ran like 4 passes and only made it down the track once. No matter what rpm I launched at I had crazy wheel hop. Three out of the four times my tranny jumped out of first gear due to wheel hop. I need more practice launching and I think I'll be ok. I believe this going to the track could get addictive!! Just thought I'd share.
Anyone have a cure for wheel hop besides slicks and practice?

The SRD engine mount member and the front control arm bushings... other than that agood burn out might help.
PS. no times/set-up?

How high are you reving the engine for your launch? You may just be reving it to excessively.

Best run was a 10 flat 1/8 mile, spun through first and second. I had my chrome rollers on, 205 40 17. I have the ZE with e/i, high flow cat, afpr, VRTuner, thats about all I can think of. I think I need practice learning how to feather the clutch. I tried anywhere fom 1500 to 2500 rpm launches with the same results. The track was shi**y. Going back in a couple weeks.
