MX-3.com

As the name says,
I'd like to know how much power you guys can get out of your cars. Also I'd like to hear about the most amount of power that has ever been put out of an Mx3. Also feel free to post times, etc.

i beleve there are a couple turbo DOHC 4 cylnders running over 300. im not sure on who that is but i know there are a few out there. i think 375 was the highest, not posative on that though.

525HP/480Lbs tq in a bpt (not stock internals!)
on Dave lasuars(sp?) MX-3.

Boostedmx's car/set-up should have been up there with daves if not higher... speaking of which did anyone buy it?

It actually started out as a N/A engine.

WOW i knew it was fast but i didnt think it had that much power. if you think about it its kinda pathetic that the Miata guys arnt even that high. a few weeks ago i was reading on the forum that the most HP out of a Miata was something like 475, i dont think it wasnt even that much.

Dave Lauzier mx3 is actually 485HP. He do not own the car anymore. The new owner boosted it even more, he is from the mx-3quebec club and come from my area (gatineau/ottawa). His nickname his Drag323 I think he registred to the mx-3.com forum too.

Hey is that a BPT engine??? Ok, heres another question...if you are going for overall power or most power for you dollar which is the best way to go? Its just that I bpt seems like alotta work, but it already has a turbo...where as a klze bolts on alittle easier, but would need a turbo....which is the best route???

btw....OMG I had no idea ours could pump out those many ponies!!! I'd be happy with 300...that sounds about right!

Its only a BP with a complete custom turbo. I talked to the new owner (Drag323) a while ago, he told me he had a T3/T4 and it wasnt pushing enough... He changed it for a new turbo, I cant remember the model tho, but he did even better with the new turbo on the quatermile time! So its a kick *** mx3!

As far as i know when dave sold his car he pulled the motor out and sold it seperately. It was listed on here or the yahoo board a while back when he was selling the shell the guy who bought the shell put his own motor in. That motor in the pic is not daves motor.

Yeah exactly, its the new motor in, even faster than Dave's engine...

what is the best time that the new motor has ran in the 1/4 mile and how much power is he getting out of it
