Kicking civic *** !

Hello everyone
About a year ago, My GF totally trashed my 3.1 leter cavalier, and becasue my commute to work is 120 miles round trip, so in an efford to try and not to loose all my money to putting gas into my car, instead of buying another 3.1, i baught a turbo diesel jetta, which ended my racing days. now, over a year later, the time has come for me to start kicking civic and acura *** again. My question is, how do the mx-3 compete against civics and integras?

a civic is an easy win for the gs. slap in a kl-ze engine and you'll run with the flagship rx-7.

The newer integra's will kick the crap out of a MX-3 GS.

probably, but mx3 is 11 yrs old car (in my case) show me integra that is 11yrs old that will kick my cars &&& (stock vs stock)

These questions tend to get annoying but i will give my honest imput. The car is a excellent platform but if you want the speed you have to have the money to spend.
Sure a honda or Acura would be easier to build up given there aftermarket but a turbo BP or B6 can haul serious *** just as well as a kl series v6.

it's all about money, if you've got it then you're going fast, otherwise youre hangin in the 16-17 range w/the rest of us GS people

I have been trying for the longest time ot get my firend with a GSR Hatch to race me up hill. Oh yes some day i will convice him. Granted it might take enough alcohol that neither of us could drive though =]

Hey my best advice (this is what I woulda done if I could do it over again)
Find an MX3 with a blown motor, then spend the xtra $1000-2000 that you saved to buy a bt turbo OR turbo chrage a KL-ZE. Trust me the only time you'll see a civic is in your rear view mirror.

The only newer Integras that'll beat a GS are the GSR and Type Rs. And theyre not even that fast. I beat GSRs all the time with my KLDE. Type Rs are alittle quicker but with a cold air intake I'd probably beat one. And thats before any sort of work on my engine. A ZE will take out any Civic or Integra, any RSX, any Prelude, and run easily with an S2000.

why is it that everyone is always trying to compare cars....especially hondas?
why not build a car to impress YOU. build a car to run faster times, and improve your driving skills. THEN, compare TIME SLIPS with other cars. this whole stock vs stock crap is lame. my z28 STOCK would eat up my friends crx STOCK. when reality sets in, his 11.097 crx will eat my z28 alive. that's my point, who cares what car you could beat if it was stock. improve YOUR car to improve YOUR times....period.

I think it's kind of fun in a race platform like on the Best Motoring dvd's. If you haven't seen any of these, it's a Japanese based show that takes cars that are stock and race them around a road course track and make comparisons. Real race car drivers (including some that compete in JGTC) drive the cars with cameras behind the driver, on the gauges and also on showing their feet.
But I see what you're saying. I'm so sick and tired of hearing the typical "Hey GuYz, caN OuR caRz beAt a ciVic Wit da CIA and MuffLeR" questions too.

As opposed to the mx-3 with it's gobbs and gobbs of torque?
