Hi,

How do Mazda part numbers work??? More exactly - what do the first 4 digits mean?

I am in the UK and I have a 1997 V6 - I want to replace my aircon condenser and my local dealer says its part number E04061480 and costs £250 (abourt $460) - however on a US parts site they sell one which matches the 91-94 US models for $113!!! - however the part number is EA0161480A.

As you can see, these part numbers are simular but are not the same. Are they the same part???

Thanks,
Paul

The condensor is the part inside the cabin under the dash, right? Might be different because of right hand drive?

Its the part in front of the radiator. If its any use, when facing the car the pipes from the condenser exit to the right.

Mazda Loves to chage their part numbers from car to car (same part) and from year to year. I don't even want to mention the mess it would create internationally. I would ask someone to take pictures of their condenser in US and see if it matches yours.
