hey guys! Well, I finally made it out to the track. I have a 1995 4cyl with 75,000 miles on it. I have Yokohama H-4's on it. I have an integra intake and that's it. I ran a 17.7 @ 79 mph. I think my cat's clogged, cause it rattles all down there, and it stinks too... so I'm putting in a hi-flow cat, 2.25 all the way back to a flowmaster 60. I'll tell yah if the times improve. I need a new clutch, and MORE POWER BADLY!!!! Well, tell me whatcha think! Peace guys :)

Why in the world would you want to put a 2.25 inch catback exhaust on a 1.6 liter engine?

I have 2.25" on my 95 RS. That is the diameter of the Pacesetter exhaust, so that is what I got. I can't say that I got a BIG performance gain or anything, but it certainly didn't hurt either. Sounds and looks a lot better that's for sure.

usually on stock 1.6L you want to leave the smaller exhaust pipes becuase you need back pressure to get torque. If you get bigger exhaust and its more free flowing then you will lose torque.

A 2.25 cat-back exhaust will definitely hurt performance on a 1.6 engine. Now a muffler with a 2.5 inch inlet tube is a differnet story. That will not really hurt or help anything.

with my 1.6 i ran 1 7/8ths cat back with a test pipe.. that is even a decent setup for my bp.

The reason I chose 2.25 is of course, like most other 4 cyl friends, I plan to boost soon. With that in mind, I thought, while I'm replacing the cat and pipes, I might as well go bigger. There yah have it. Cya

Just whatever you do dont gut your cats.. get a test pipe and a aftermarket header ;) <p>that one might be attached to a 18 second run.. =] but either way my car was a bit on the gutted side
