Post by 2RotorsNaDream »

Me and my boy are going to Raceway Park in NJ and both cars are stock. The specs are pretty even, who's gonna win?

crx si would take a dohc mx-3...unless you took out your back seat that would even it up....you could win if your friend sucks at launching and your amazing...just remember 106 vs 88 hp (with no back seat)

MX-3?
I pulled out most of the interior of my car. The back seat is fairly lightweight in my 94. and unelsss it has a lead reinforcement bar it should be similar so in the ealier models. If you strip the majority of the interior you might be able get out a 100lbs... might.. pending weather or not you keep your spare =]

Actually you probably would lose at the launch but after 50mph you will be pulling it in and the weight will benefit you the higher the speed as momentum increases.

With everything else being equal, your car will be 1/10 of a sec quicker for every 100 pounds you remove from your car.
This is a very old and well know racing fact.
[ July 15, 2002: Message edited by: curtklze ]
