Civics stock aren't that tough... just annoying.... one for one then MX-3 is faster. Type-R's are up to par with the MX-3 GS. but if its an auto its not.

The type-r would smoke any MX-3 gs with even trying..you must not have even raced or driven in a type-r to make that comment..I love my mx-3 but a type-r would completely imbarrass you in all aspects.
Killermx3

ok and? Type-r is a much better more designed car that is ready for racing on a track and is geared totally different and revs a lot higher than any MX-3 rs or Gs. Good luck racing one on the highway as well, after your Gs tops out at 200km or less the type-r will just be beggining in v-tech.I have many friends with these cars and they are fast stock and really fast when they are done-up.
Killermx3

off the top of my head i think he said he had it bored and had the pistons redone to acheive 2.2L. Could be wrong (and probably am)

Actually sonic is right,
About the type-R, thats just my experiances with them.... I'm not really impressed. But then again i was racing my Drag strip Formula 350 agenst them. And the very few I've raced with my old MX-3 GSSE (they were all low to mid '90s at the time) I was neck to neck unmodified. but then again you can buy that sticker and Type-R spoiler anywhere now.
No, type-R's were released in the US, but i beleive only in the two door coup modle with a different (more lifted) spoiler, but if i'm wrong someone correct me.
Thanks
Teri Newman
[ April 10, 2002: Message edited by: SE-Man ]

Civic Type-R's have right-side steering and were never released in the USA. Si is the highest civic model here. Integra Type-R's are available here though.
