Question about Lip Spoiler
I've never had a lip spoiler on my GS, the previous owner must have broke it off. So I got someone whos gonna trade me theres but I need to take it off. What tools would I need and how easy is it to take off?? I've heard its held on by special clips or something. I dont wanna have to go back home for tools as its kinda far away so an accurate tool list would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Question about Lip Spoiler
1/4" socket set for the clips, and maybe a thin flathead screwdriver if any popout wheelwell trim fasteners are threaded through it.
Re: Question about Lip Spoiler
Vicegrips and needlenose pliers to add to the ones already mentioned.
Re: Question about Lip Spoiler
Also, you may need some WD-40. They are most likely rusted out and will break as you take them out.

Re: Question about Lip Spoiler
Are ther holes pre-drilled in your bumper for the spoiler??
If not, you will need to drill some.
If I remember right, use a 5/8" drill bit and be sure you are careful when you measure & drill.
You will need a friend to help you-- it will make it easier if someone else hold the lip up to the bumper while you make the mark for the hole.
I put mine on while the bumper was on the car... in hindsight, I really should have taken the bumper off to make it easier.

Re: Question about Lip Spoiler
I already got the holes in my bumper thank God, I definitely dont wanna go drilling, and he meant a ¼" drive socket set, not a ¼" socket. Thanks for the help guys, hopefully this things not too hard to get off.

Re: Question about Lip Spoiler
Yes, I meant 1/4" drive. That's why I said socket set. I should have clarified a metric 1/4" socket set since I believe it is a 10mm socket.Originally posted by atlantamx3:

Re: Question about Lip Spoiler
It is a 10mm socket, but make sure you have a deep/long one as well, be helpful in some spots.
