ZX2 Complaint Solution Solved

I'm saving up right now to purchase some struts and lowering springs. My total that I hope to spend is $500. I was going to get some zx2 struts but after researching about them I realized I would need something a bit stronger that would handle my crazy driving. I love that the zx2 strut gives you a .5 drop. I was wondering why doesn't anyone talk about getting aftermarket zx2 struts for their mx3. I know that the zx2 is a better improvement from our stock mx3 struts and the price is cheap but the zx2 struts are still oem stock products.

MY question:
1. What year zx2 car do I need to get the struts from? I'm sure the dealer will ask me for the year.
2. Wouldn't it be better to get aftermarket zx2 struts and put them in our car? It should be the same custom work as the zx2 struts and same .5 drop. Right?

I looked around a little for the same thing, but it looks like if they dont make struts for the MX-3 then they dont make them for the ZX-2 either.

They make kyb struts for the zx2 car but everyone on this forum make me think that thier just as good as the OEM stock zx2 struts. I;m referer to kyb struts made for the zx2 car not kyb struts that are made for are mx3 cars.

the ZX2 S/R struts are the ones that came on the limited S/R edition car, not the regular sport model. These ARE aftermarket struts that Ford had valved to match the AFTERMARKET Eibach springs that the S/R came with.

The good thing about the ZX2 struts is the price through ford. If you want something else that's a bit nicer, just go with the MX-3 Mazdaspeeds or Konis.
