they stiffen the chassis, which is a good thing. But it's not going to physically change how much grip the car has. It doesn't play with the actual dynamics of the car.

dropzone springs are equally as ****ty as their coilovers.

if you do decide to buy dropzones, you'll find that buying the ford escort ones will save you a lot of money. I've seen some sellers seling them for $55 plus shipping for the escorts, and since they are all the smae, you might as well buy those.

get zx2 struts with your stock springs. if you want better handling or more lowering then get springs. good struts will greatly improve your handling.

i have drop zone coil overs and modified stuts and its a bumpy ride but pretty much any thing to lower your car is going to be bumpy, my car is lowered about 4 mabey 4 1/2

dudez, is that possible??? WOW! well i HAD dropzones on, and i dropped those cute lil springs down as far as the coilovers would go, and i only acheived a 2" drop. that was far enuff tho, without scraping something!

as for handling, dropzone springs are just as good as other coilovers, since they have high spring rates and keep you flat in the corners. it was like a go-kart! lol

as for ride quality.. they're bumpy. so if you're ok with a stiffer ride, then go for it! i have some up for sale if you ever want to go that route. but definitely get perf. struts first. good luck mang

oh my bad.. didnt read ur first post --
staying stock height with perf. handling = KYB GR-2 Struts for sure. they're stronger than zx2's and stay at oem size. go for it you won't regret the difference!
